I chose this prep course under the false assumption that i was protected by the money back guarantee, clearly advertised on the platform. "Firms that deploy dark patterns and other dirty tricks should take notice." "Today's enforcement policy statement makes clear that tricking consumers into signing up for subscription programs or trapping them when they try to cancel is against the law," said ****** ******* Director of the FTC's Bureau of Consumer Protection. How am i supposed to know that only certain plans are covered? Why don't the ads mention not all plans are covered, or direct customers to check the policy? ![]() (Their refund policy is misleading and hard to understand)ģ) The only part of the site that indicates this is the refund policy is the refund policy section, but no where upon check out. (This constitutes as false advertising in the United States)Ģ) I purchased a subscription for four months, longer than their 3 month package which is covered by the guarantee, it's unfair and deceptive. I never was notified of this policy upon checkout, and their refund policy is not direct, clear, or concise.ġ) They abundantly advertise a score increase guarantee, without any indication that it is only valid for certain plans. I purchased a four months subscription using pay-as-you-go. Their response is that the refund policy/guarantee is only valid for Self-Paced courses over three months, and the pay-as-you-go subscription is not covered. I purchased four months of The Self Paced Course. My score did not increase, and the service was not effective. Their site clearly advertises a "score increase money back guarantee" and they strongly advertise a refund if your score fails to increase. I paid for a four month subscription with the self-paced-course plan with Blueprint LSAT test prep. ![]()
